There is certainly a buzz surrounding the Ford Raptor and for good reason. The 2019 Ford Raptor comes with 3 new colors for the aesthetically conscious, and the incredible Live Valve technology from FOX™. Here are a few specs fueling the newest version of this raptorial, mud-hungry beast.
¤ 450 horsepower 3.5 L twin turbo V6
¤ 10-speed automatic transmission
¤ 6 preconfigured driving modes
¤ 3 new colors: Ford Performance Blue, Velocity Blue, and Agate Black
“The idea behind a Ford Raptor is to go fast on uneven terrain so if you’re going to pick one area to upgrade for the 2018 Ford Raptor, smarter shocks with continuous damping control make sense.“ – Alisa Priddle
¤ Class-exclusive FOX™ 3.0 Internal Bypass shocks with Live Valve technology that can adapt to the terrain in real-time to actively maximize handling, comfort, and bottom-out resistance
¤ New Trail Control™ system is like cruise control for low-speed, rugged terrain – automatically adjusting to send power and braking to each individual wheel to allow drivers to focus on steering along the trail
¤ All-new Recaro sports seats help keep drivers secure at low and high speeds off-road
“Since Raptor is all about performance, especially off-road, Ford continues to use shocks from Fox Racing which has been a supplier since the original 2010 Raptor. For the 2019 model year, the performance desert racing pickup switches to electronically controlled live-valve Fox Racing Shox with infinite compressions for continuous damping.” -Alisa Priddle
It’s too bad that our local dealership isn’t offering 4×4 trail test drives. I don’t think I’d be able to handle stop-and-go traffic at 25mph in this remarkable new F-150 without kicking it into 4 wheel drive, losing my license and ending up on the front page of the paper.
