Because cold-temperature storage can be detrimental to the performance of some AMSOIL products, AMSOIL provides the following cold storage recommendations:
Store all AMSOIL lubrication products at temperatures at least 10°F above the lubricant’s pour point (-20°F to be safe). Some lubricants are designed for use in extreme cold temperatures, which also effectively lowers their cold storage limit. However, ideal storage temperature is 32°F (0°C) to 85°F (29°C). Long-term storage in temperatures out of this range can cause additive separation over time, reducing overall lubrication effectiveness and lifespan.
Gear Oil: SEVERE GEAR® SAE 250 above 0°F
These AMSOIL products either do not freeze or suffer no adverse effects from a freeze-thaw cycle:
Diesel Injector Clean + Cetane Boost
Slip Lock: If product separates, warm to room temperature and shake well before use.
Heavy-Duty Degreaser: warm to room temperature before use.
Brake Fluid: Do not store below -40°F longer than two weeks.
These AMSOIL products should be stored in a dry place above freezing (32°F). Most aerosols will tolerate freezing, but should be warmed to room temperature before use:
Diesel All-In-One: above 0°F
Diesel Cold Flow: above 0°F
Miracle Wash: above 32°F

AMSOIL offers a broad range of automotive and industrial lubricants and filtration equipment which exceed industry performance specifications by a wide margin. AMSOIL has also continued to set new industry standards for motor oil performance, quality and consistency. AMSOIL founder and industry pioneer Al Amatuzio built his company on the same principles that defined his career as a jet-fighter squadron commander – excellence, integrity and strong leadership. In 1972, the breakthrough came. AMSOIL 10W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil, the result of years of research and inspired by aerospace technology, became the first synthetic motor oil in the world to meet American Petroleum Institute service requirements.
